Accepting or Declining Your Loans
You can accept/decline your Federal Direct Loan by logging into MyBobcat and going to the Self-Service portal.
If you have pending items listed on the “Checklist “, you will not be able to proceed to accept/decline loans. Items listed as pending on the “Checklist” must be completed. You are able to view your “Checklist” on the Self-Service portal homepage. It is located on the lower left corner of the screen.
When you login to MyBobcat, you can access the Self-Service portal by doing one of the following:
- Use the WedAdvisor on the upper left corner and select the student section to open the dropdown menu which will give you the option to open the Self-Service
- Go to the menu at the lower right corner and select Student Self-Service and then press Click here for Student Self-Service.
You will be taken to the Colleague Self-Service Home Screen. On the upper left corner, you will find a menu with different icons. To review and accept your award letter, please do the following
You will need to select the Financial Information option to be able to locate your awards.
Once you have selected that option, you will be able to see an additional drop down menu. It will list the two options: Make a Payment or Financial Aid. Please select the Financial Aid option.
After you have selected the Financial Aid option, another drop down menu will appear.
To review your awards, you must select the My Awards option and it will bring you to the list of Financial Aid awards that you are eligible for during the academic year. If you haven’t already, it will give you the option to accept the Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loans (if you wish to apply for them).
If you need to apply for a Graduate PLUS loan, please select the Request a New Parent PLUS/Graduate PLUS Loan option and fill out the request. Please only complete this option after you have completed the Master Promissory Note and Loan Entrance Counseling for the PLUS Loan as well as a credit check.
