Florida’s St. Thomas University and New Hampshire’s St. Thomas Aquinas High School Create Partnership to Guarantee Students the Opportunity and a Scholarship to Succeed in Higher Education

Miami, FL (March 8, 2022) – St. Thomas University (STU) recently entered into a College Admission Agreement (CAA) with St. Thomas Aquinas High School to provide their high-achieving high school graduates the opportunity to continue their academics at the Miami-based University.

St. Thomas Aquinas High School (STA) is a college preparatory high school in Dover, New Hampshire, designed to prepare students to be academically equipped for the demands of higher education. The CAA strengthens the relationship between the two institutions determined to provide STA graduates financial support to earn their degrees at the prestigious, private Catholic University.

“All of us at STU welcome the opportunity to work with St. Thomas Aquinas and provide a seamless transition for their students into their full university experience. Devotion is one of the three pillars of our strategic plan, Limitless. The Catholic faith formation STA has instilled in their students will be continued at St. Thomas University, as we strive to educate ethical leaders ready to tackle issues in our communities and the world,” stated David A. Armstrong, J.D., President of St. Thomas University.

St. Thomas is a private, nonprofit, Catholic university with rich cultural and international diversity committed to the academic and professional success of its students who become ethical leaders in our global community. The prestigious university offers 61 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, and post-graduate certificate programs through its College of Health Sciences & Technology, College of Law, College of Business and Biscayne College on campus and online course curriculums. STU is constantly embracing new concepts and technologies, and carrying out impressive programs of research over a wide variety of disciplines.

In the Fall of 2021, St. Thomas University was designated a national Doctoral/Professional University D/PU by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education Carnegie Classifications for post-secondary institutions, and welcomed its third consecutive record enrollment undergraduate class, as well as the strongest class in STU’s College of Law history.

Through the CAA, STU will waive the application fee and award a Deans level Academic Scholarship per year. Students who meet the criteria will also be eligible to receive additional scholarships and grant opportunities.

“St. Thomas Aquinas is so excited to collaborate with St. Thomas University,” stated Dr. Daniel Richer, Dean of Admission and Advancement. “Both institutions have strong communities and a proud tradition of offering a rigorous Catholic education based on Faith and Reason, this really is a wonderful fit for our students.”

St. Thomas University will guarantee admission to St. Thomas Aquinas senior students who are in good academic and disciplinary standing, and meet the additional requirements.
