Program Description

Our world is facing unprecedented challenges that will require adaptive leadership and the capacity to manage innovation and change.  The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Ethical Leadership degree meets these challenges head-on as our dynamic undergraduate students develop the ethical knowledge, skills, and attitudes critical for addressing our world’s most pressing problems.  The program is tailored for students who are passionate about making a difference and practicing leadership to advance diverse organizations and communities.  Throughout the program, students will engage in experiential learning that extends well beyond the traditional classroom environment and creates experiences within real-world settings through the program’s innovative challenge-based curriculum.  Graduates demonstrate exceptional self-awareness, problem-solving capacity, the skill set to manage team dynamics, moral decision-making practices, effective communication skills, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced and competitive work environments.

The BA in Ethical Leadership combines studies in humanities, behavioral and social sciences, business and management, research methods, and technology to advance students’ ability to navigate complex professional environments and ethically facilitate change.  The program is offered in two formats.  The on-campus approach offers students a traditional approach to higher education, while distance learning provides online coursework for students hoping to maximize accessibility.

Graduates are selected for diverse professional opportunities in the following fields:

• Management positions in corporate, non-profit, government, education, healthcare, and community development organizations
• Human resource development, organizational development, and talent management positions
• Consulting and process improvement positions (e.g. Accenture, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, etc.)
• Upward mobility for career paths in Public Safety and Service (e.g. Fire, Police, EMS, Disaster Management, Corrections, etc.)
