Keep an eye out for more STU Bobcats than ever – St. Thomas University is proud to announce a sixth consecutive year of record-breaking new student enrollment! Not only is this our largest ever freshmen class, but we are also welcoming more transfer, graduate/online, and law students than any other year in our 63-year history.
In fact, our incoming cohort of 2,620 students is 51% larger than last year’s historic class:
- 813 freshmen (+24%)
- 216 transfers (+32%)
- 1,195 graduate/online students (+78%)
- 396 law students (+68%)
This group of new students is comprised of 21% more student-athletes, 22% more international students coming from 54 countries, and domestic students hailing from 41 states. And what is even better, the academic profile of these students is elevating; we welcomed more Florida Bright Futures students than ever!
Vice President for Enrollment Dionne Veitch attributed this drastic increase to several factors. “We assembled a unified admissions A-team, launched a modern CRM, overhauled our processes to focus on the new student experience, and hosted incredibly successful campus events, while providing more individual visits.
We couldn’t have done any of this without the strategic collaboration of our STUwards across campus. Our dedicated faculty and employees are more involved in the entire recruitment process, thanks to improved communication, streamlined operations, and data-driven reporting.”
