Prof. Michael Vastine presented in Phoenix on Saturday, February 22nd at the Controlled Substance Act at 50 Years Conference, held at Arizona State University, co-organized with Ohio State University. Adding topic of the intersection of immigration and drug policy to the larger discussion of the impact on the CSA as a criminal scheme.
A forthcoming article will be published in The Ohio State University Journal of Criminology, with the working title of MAKING DRUG-RELATED DEPORTABILITY 1914 AGAIN? How a strict “categorical approach” to the CSA would eliminate unpredictable agency interpretation of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
