“SHOW YOUR LOVE FOR BOBCAT ATHLETICS” SOARS PAST GOAL – Annual Day of Giving to support athletics program sets records for donors and dollars

MIAMI GARDENS, FL – Thanks to more than 1,100 donors who collectively contributed nearly $180,000, the annual “Show Your Love for Bobcat Athletics” giving campaign to benefit the St. Thomas University Department of Athletics shattered previous record highs.
“Our ‘Show Your Love’ giving day has quickly become a popular and unifying tradition for our athletics program,” said Assistant Vice President for Athletics and Head Football Coach Bill Rychel. “Our mission is to produce leaders in the classroom, in competition and in the community, as well as compete for and win championships. It takes the participation of many – including donors – to make the difference. Our coaches and staff are grateful for such an outpouring of support.”
Thus far in the 2023-24 athletic season, every STU individual and team sport has qualified for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) national playoffs, and as of the end of the fall season, the Bobcats ranked #5 nationally in the Learfield Sports ® Directors Cup rankings, measuring competitive excellence across programs throughout the NAIA. The St. Thomas University Men’s Swimming & Diving team proudly earned a team NAIA National Championship, the first team National Championship in STU’s history.
“One of the impacts of our “Show Your Love” campaign is that our coaches can invest in the items that truly provide the margin of excellence to strengthen the student-athlete experience,” said Vice President of Philanthropy Scott Koskoski, CFRE. “We have 31 sport programs, but our donors come together as one team to propel our student-athletes forward. The results are showing.”
The “Show Your Love” giving campaign will officially close on Thursday, March 28. Fans and friends of STU Athletics can make contributions to any Bobcat program of their choice by visiting www.donate.stu.edu.
