In an effort to provide visibility to outstanding law schools who exemplify excellence in service of others, Super Lawyers put together the Top 10 Law Schools for Pro Bono Graduation Requirements. Super Lawyers has continually made a point to highlight pro bono attorneys who deliver volunteer legal services to the poor, underrepresented or exploited.
The St. Thomas University School of Law has been selected as one of the 2014 Super Lawyers Top 10 Law Schools for Pro Bono Graduation Requirements. Super Lawyers is an attorney-rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Not only is St. Thomas University in the top ten nationally, but St. Thomas Law is the only law school in South Florida to be ranked in the Top 10.
The focus on pro bono service is in keeping with St. Thomas University’s catholic mission and the law school’s commitment to scholarship, service, and to training lawyers that are sensitive to the needs of the region’s underrepresented communities.
