This month, St. Thomas University welcomed a new Alumni Director to the STU family.
A California native, Stephanie Marquez, is joining the STU Philanthropy and Communications team to oversee all alumni programming and outreach efforts.
Marquez is a first-generation college student, who has over a decade of experience in Alumni Relations. As an enthusiastic and creative Alumni Relations professional, she is best known for her work at the University of California, Merced, Thomas Jefferson School of Law and Best Buddies International. Her experience includes program launch and development, special event production, public speaking, and developing life-long meaningful relationships with alumni and various constituents.
Over the course of her career, she has gained a reputation as a collaborator and unifier – but most of all for building robust partnerships and engagement between alumni, parents, students, and donors to their respective institutions. She is passionate about creating a culture of philanthropy and alumni engagement.
Stephanie holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Santa Clara University and a master’s degree in Higher Education Leadership from the University of San Diego.
In her free time Stephanie enjoys yoga, painting and learning about different cultures and languages.
