The welcome and opening remarks were given by fellow Albanian, Prof. Dr. Roza Pati, Founder, and Director of the Human Trafficking Academy, and Prof. Dr. Siegfried Wiessner, Director of the Graduate Program in Intercultural Human Rights. Their distinguished guests from Albania included: Mr. Arian Çala, Executive Director, Tjetër Vizion; Ms. Suela Cani, Director, National Reception Center for Victims of Trafficking; Ms. Mariana Muslia, Executive Director, Different & Equal; Ms. Brikena Puka, Executive Director, Vatra Centre; and Ms. Mimoza Qyra, Coordinator of Anti-Trafficking Sector, Ministry of Interior.

Ms. Priovolos shared with our guests the cooperative efforts among various layers of government and civil society the U.S. is using to engage in anti-trafficking enforcement & awareness-raising. Attendees were able to communicate the challenges they faced and share best practices. The goal is that these insights will help our countries broaden their impacts and strengthen anti-trafficking government policies across borders.
