STU Volleyball is on a roll.
The ladies opened a three-match week, with a four-set win over Florida National; Defeated Sun Conference top-seed, Keiser University in a thrilling five-set match at the Fernandez Family Center and closed out the week sweep with three-set win over Johnson & Wales.
Amanda Allende was named the Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week. The freshman recorded 42-kills and double-digit digs in each match for the week, including a season-high 21-kills in the win over Keiser.
Other top highlights from the week of October 14 through 21 include:
- Women’s Soccer: Defeated Ave Maria on the road, winning 2-1 on Wednesday, October 23; took No. 4 Southeastern University to double overtime but lost, 2-1 on Friday, October 25.
- Football: Lost to Ave Maria, 37-20, in the “Breast Cancer Awareness” Game sponsored by AutoNation on October 26. D’Amaunte Oliver recorded two touchdowns, on four catches, while totaling 120 yards to lead the Bobcat offense.
- Men’s Soccer: No. 13 STU played SCAD – Savannah in the Sun Conference “Match of the Week” on Saturday, October 26 from Bobcat Field. The match ended in a 2-2 draw. St. Thomas now sits in third place in the Sun Conference with three matches remaining in the regular season.
