Band

Our STU Band Program brings the energy, Bobcat pride, and rhythm to campus life, on and off the field. From the high-impact Marching Bobcats lighting up home football games, to the Spirit Band igniting the crowd at men’s and women’s basketball games, our ensembles bring music, motion, and unforgettable moments to every performance.

Students from every major come together to create powerful sound, eye-catching visuals, and a show repertoire that inspires and fires up the sports fans. For those looking to deepen their craft, Symphonic Band and Jazz Band classes are also offered for academic credit.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available by audition for students ready to bring their passion to the STU Band program. While all instruments are welcome, we especially need brass players, drumline and stationary percussionists, guitarists, and electronics performers. If you play multiple instruments, like trumpet and flute or clarinet and bass drum, you will be an even greater asset to our dynamic sound.

Being part of the STU Band is more than music. It is about friendship and purpose. As ambassadors of our university, we energize the campus, inspire our student-athletes, and create unforgettable moments at every performance. Join us and make your mark on the field, in the stands, and in the heart of the STU Community.

Eligibility

All actively enrolled students at St. Thomas University are welcome to join the STU Band, no matter your major. Whether you play woodwinds, brass, percussion, or shine in the color guard, there is a place for you in our high-energy, performance-driven community. If you have the passion, we have your stage.

Attendance
STU band members are required to attend all rehearsals and performances for all ensembles.
